How Important Is Faith in Being a Catholic?

A catholic must actually believe in god to be catholic. A believing in god, in this context, means you accept that god exists but don't feel confident about it. Difficulties can be emotional, like a lack of confidence. Or they can belect like, well, i accept god's existence, but i don't know how to answer this objection. So that's how i approach that.
