With Bitcoin, you can actually put what are called private keys, which allow you to unlock Bitcoin. This is a really tangible advantage in terms of security. The physical nature of gold actually was a benefit in the past because it was a way to have a fixed supply. But today with Bitcoin, you don't need that and now the physical nature has turned into a weakness for gold.
