The Commitment Device
A commitment device could be while you're at the store or it could be just making yourself go to the store in order to have those treats. Advertisers use that all the time showing us those delightfully delicious pictures of things that we didn't even know we wanted. There's this thing called Pavlock and it's this wearable device you put around your wrist. Or, you know, much more commonly used, I think, are these programs that prevent you from logging on to social media sites or shopping sites during certain hours.
