The Importance of Emotion Regulation in Psychology
I agree that addressing the professional gatekeeping that has kept black and brown folks out of psychology and to a lesser extent social work is really important until you and I fix what's going on in our professions. What recommendations do you have for parents in terms of not equating having a bad day with being mentally ill so this really actually gets us right to chapters four and five the last two chapters of the book because distress is not the definition of mental health it's really how the mental how the distress gets handled where we get really interested about whether or not there's grounds for concern.
