What Drew You to the Field of Biblical Studies?

i'm wanting just to start out if you could talk about some of the formative experiences that drew you into this field of biblical studies, and maybe in particular, the subject of violence. Welli i really think that this, my interest in biblical studies started quite early in my household. We were kind of text base folksm my father's a methodist minister, and my mother was a is now retired high school english teacher. And so there were was a lot of attention to texts and and language at home.
