How Heat Stress Can Prevent Muscle Atrophy and Maintain Muscle Mass

In some cases I was obsessively using the sauna probably a little overboard seven days a week in some cases. I noticed that I lost less muscle mass than previous times of not using or being injured and not using being able to work out. Of course that's entirely subjective. But let's talk about some of the mechanisms by which the staving off muscle atrophy and the improved regrowth of muscles after disuse occurs. So there's really three mechanisms by which this occurs. And the first mechanism is the robust activation of heat shock proteins.
