The Failure of the Fuse Pylon on the Bowing Seven
Three pylots have failed in flight, resulting in two fatal one serious accident. No firm conclusion could be drawn whether or not the fatigue crack in the outboard mid spar fuse pin was detectable at the last ultrasonic inspection. Even though bowing said it should have ben detectable, l l said it wasn't, so they couldn't say definitively whether or not it actually was. This ultimately caused prawley, initiated by fatigue in the inboard misbar fuse pin the number three pylon and engine to separate from the wing in such a way the number four pylon and engines were torn off.
