The Unknown Man and the Beaumont Children's Abduction
Jane, Anna and Grant Beaumont were last seen at Collie Reserve on Australia Day. A sketch of the unknown man was drawn up but he never came forward to clear himself making him the lead suspect in the children's disappearance. Investigators developed the theory that the stranger may have been a pedophile who groomed them during their unsupervised visits to Glennell building a rapport with the siblings over time. The one pound note the children used in the bakery was perhaps one last act by the perpetrator to secure his prey. This theory would have the children willingly leaving Colly Reserve with their abductor without drawing any attention to themselves or sensing any danger.
