The first step of competition is realizing what that feeling is. It's not that the competitor is better than you, where that because they exist you can. We are programmed to feel loss aversion and scrape and claw for what we think is ours. When I was building finder lobster, we got our round kicked by Tinder. Instead of seeing it as a massive opportunity in the question or potential customers were asking, we tried to plug all the holeswe saw in our product.
