Pediatric Inspired Therapy in Adults

In general, we're mostly doing things like hyper C VAD and non intensive strategies that have all of these asparigenase containing drugs. In the early 2000s, Wendy Stock and the group at the University of Chicago looked at their outcomes for these adolescent young adult patients. They compared outcomes on the CCG trial or the COG trial to patients who were enrolled on one of their adult protocols. And they found that event free survival rates were significantly better for patients that were treated on the pediatric protocolsCompared to the adult protocols. Now this is not randomized data. We still don't have randomized data in this setting. But there are retrospective studies that suggested that pediatric inspired therapies perform better.
