White Hands - The Story of Women's Freedom

The news spread on social media very quickly that this young woman had been picked up by the morality of the police and that she had died in their custody. This was a very shocking incident. Morality policing is a feature of Iranian life but I can certainly not recall in recent memory years, decades that a young woman would die in morality police custody. The first protests were sparked or erupted in her hometown area in the Kurdish region. Within 24 hours they were across the whole country in big cities and smaller towns. It was quite extraordinary the way that they spread everywhere almost instantly.
