The Effects of Policy Choices on Inflation
When you cross 4% inflation, half the time it goes higher and can last longer. When it rolls over, on average, it dissipates back down below 2%. That's transitory inflation. Above 8%, what we found was 29 examples, 2 per country. What we found was that 2 of those dissipated fast within 2 years.
