The Road Map of Evangelization

In the Beatitudes, Jesus is giving us a road map for how to be like him. The Beatitudes are ultimately Christological. They're ultimately fulfilling Christ. He's the meek one and merciful; he's persecuted for right's sake. And what Jesus is going to do in the Sermon on the Mount is show us in his Beatitudes how to become like him.
