Many people have a phobia of their own breath. The idea is to learn to experience it, to be there for and to let it be the observer. When you do that, you can see how everything restores itself. Most people aren't very good at it. They don't observe. They manipulate. Soon as they focus on their breathing, they're already manipulating it,. rather than really knowing how to observe it. A lot of the time it will just restore itself.
