The Book of Nostro Damas by Johann Lichtenburger

In 15 55, a frenchman named michel de nostre dame published the first edition of a book called the prophecies. His work became very popular during the french revolution and then again during world war too. Nosterdomas died of gout at the age of 62 in the year 15 66. He was really quite skilled at self promotion by giving vague enough predictions that they always seem that they can be coming true. And so if you squint enough, you might just be able to find me kind of confirmation in this, which laura says is why these kinds of ideas retain their power.
