The Beatitudes - The Way That Has Blessed My Life the Most

The Beatitudes are a formula for me to try to become more like Jesus. You could plug in any aspect or any attribute of the gospel into this and say, have I arrived? The answer is probably going to be no on every single question that we ask. So then we recognize the gap, we feel bad about it, we're willing to do what God wants us to do. We allow ourselves and other people to be forgiven. And there you go. Perfection in Christ is not an event. It's a long, a lifelong process of discipleship on the covenant path.
