Ten years ago, a rare astronomical event took place in the solar system. It was possible to see the planet venus pass across the face of the sun. A so called transit of venus occurs when the orbits of the earth and venus line up. But that only happens four times in every 200 and forty three years. astronomers in australia, london and hawaii have been telling nick holland what it was like watching a sight that nobody alive at the time would ever see again.
