The Differences Between BX Essentials and the Seafaring Rules

I don't think many people have used ship rules in recent years until salt marsh came out for D&D and 5E. It's always like you have a boat, but you know, what are you going to do with the boat? You're just going to sail it. Are they really like ship combat? Say, I'm trying to think if I've ever actually had a campaign where we've used those rules. Yeah.
