We've really relegated the responsibility of care to individual families and particularly the women in those families. And we're not accustomed to seeing care as a public good like intrastructure, like roads and bridges and tunnels. I do believe we have more work to do, but i think that every one dealing with their own version of a care crisis has really catalyzed a new awareness about how valuable care work is," she says.
