The Future of YouTube
Nielsen's March data shows that YouTube is the most popular ad supported streaming service in the US and actually accounted for almost 8% of total streaming of the month. This year, as you notice, more people actually watch YouTube on connected TV devices. I think it's interesting to dwell on YouTube as it evolves into more of a performance channel. It's brand building credentials within the digital platforms are pretty much setting the bar. But there is absolutely no doubt that from a performance marketer standpoint, it doesn't quite hit the mark against platforms like Amazon or Google search.
