The best way to produce health span, and lifespan, is calorie restriction. This has even been done in rhesus monkeys. Only the University of Wisconsin monkeys lived longer than counterparts that weren't calorie restricted. And I'll bet you that it was the length of time that the animal was fasting that made the difference, not the calories.
