When you go into fight or flight, all these acidic hormones go to work and your blood acid rises. And then when you see there's no threat, there's this wash of chemicals from the parasympathetic nervous system that calms you down. It's called the alkaline tide. People who are aggressive will tell you they're afraid. They actually, and it's usually about something that happened a long time ago. So they got some kind of internal scarring.
