The Biggest Fan Theory
The big crossover points is people like to throw those in because they love Quentin Tarantino and they like to use his little Easter eggs as nods to him. Robin from How I Met Your Mother is also somehow Maria Hill from the Avengers movies. A version of this that I just play with myself watching shows is I imagine that one actor's roles are just the same person everywhere. And then coming up with my own weird headcanon of how that works.
