What Are Examples of Molecular Clouds?
The rate of formation of stars in a galaxy depends on how many molecular clouds you have. So i think in the milky with the rate of star formation per year must be like four or five per year. In some sum galaxies and some regions of space, you have lots of stars being borne on a continuous basis. You need these clouds for such a thing to happen, otherwise you will not have star formation.
