The Moral Limits of AI in the Legal Profession
The legal profession is a good example of where the moral limits on these technologies will bind. It's more about whether or not, even if it's technically feasible, whether or not it's morally permissible. There are systems and machines at the moment that help inform parole decisions in the U.S., they're already used. But how would we feel, for instance, about a system that's making decisions about life sentencing? I think people would feel far more uncomfortable about that.
