The Cost of Censorship in Australia
Australia had a group of employees whose job was to look online, find child pornography and then block them. When the list was made public, it was determined that well over 90% of the websites on it weren't child porn. But those people well meaningly stepped nine times beyond their mandate from the government censoring far more than it was legal for them to censor. And that is what almost all real censorship is. We have to be looking out for bad guys who think they're good, which are sometimes us.
