The Loss of Shrimp in Louisiana
Louisiana used to supply majority of shrimp we eat in the U.S., but now that's down to a measly 1.8%. For shrimpers like AC, whose father's shrimp are at stake, it's more than their jobs at stake. "This is our way of life. This is what we do," he says. The problem for Louisiana shrimpers can't meet demand or lower price with cheaper imports.
