Income Inequality Is an Overblown Problem
The more complex you make society, the more barriers to entry you create for people without special privileges, special access, special abilities to navigate them. I think the worst problem is Washington because Washington, all these rules really prevent local ownership, right, and local responsibility where things can happen a little better. The thing that struck me about Washington when I started working with Congress and reforms in a couple decades ago is how inexpensive it is to actually block anything. It's harder to get things, but it's unbelievably inexpensive to block somethingYou know, 10, $20,000 of contributions and some favorite congressman will use it as a chip and some negotiation for something and it will be blocked.
