Modern medicine has been treating DKA for over a century at this point. The one thing that won't go away is diabetes and the fact that it affects primarily marginalized populations. And so in the future, ideally we'd have a way to actively treat these patients not only for their biochemical issues but also their social issues That would help prevent them from getting as sick in the future.
