Diodorus Thoug's the Odyssey of the Athenians
Alcibiades wanted to go to artaxerxes, not because the situation in the thracian hellespont had grown untenable. Diodorus says that pharnabasus commissioned his brother magius and his uncle susamithros to perform the deed. Plutarch reports that alcibiades had been staying in phrygia with a courtesan named temandra. And one night, in his sleep, he was said to have envisioned his forthcoming death in which he was covered in her garments. Meanwhile, the party sent to kill surrounded the house and set it on fire.
