The Importance of Forgiveness

In John 8 and verse 58, Jesus said, before Abraham was, I am. This was Jesus taking upon himself the title that was revealed to Moses. C.S. Lewis: Unless the speaker is God, this is really so preposterous as to be comic. We can all understand how a man forgives offenses against himself. But what do we make of a man who announces that he forgave you for treading on other men's toes and stealing other men's money? That means being interpreted donkey-like stupidity but that he was a doctor of literature.
