CRISPR-Cas9: A Non-Transgenic Process
This is a non-transgenic process. We call the process DNA free. So we were able to put the CRISPR machinery, which is RNA-based as you know, into the cell without using a DNA vector,. That's a little bit of an intractable problem in fruit trees because it's difficult to make crosses and it takes decades. And that's the technology that we used.
