Abu Ghraib was symbolic of if the project for the pro war left had been one about liberation and taking a moral stand against tyranny. This was an image of tyranny. The detainee was tortured in front of my eyes, only three meters from myself, tortured by dogs to confess to a crime he never committed. He lived in fear and witnessed many cases of torture. And there it was. I mean, you're right. Abu Ghraib internationally,. In the sense that David Kelly was a domestic story, AbuGhraib internationally was the moment of the moral fall. Wasn't it? I think so.
