Getting Back to the Basics of Tendon Loading
I just find myself over the course of time going back to the basics over and over again. Just seem to work so well. The problem is that they're not sexy, right? I think there's a lot of fruit that can be harvested from the basics before you go into these minutiae things. In some ways, I think it can kind of unlock your next level treatment.
Let’s be real for a minute: Injuries suck.
If you’ve been lifting yourself for any period of time, you know that if you push yourself long enough or hard enough, something is bound to crop up.
But while injuries might be part of the game, they shouldn’t keep you out of the game.
That’s why today I’ve brought Dan Pope on the podcast – to talk about how we can continue to train while injured, but even more importantly, how we can learn from our injuries as well.
Dan is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, strength and conditioning coach, writer, speaker and entrepreneur. He’s a practicing physical therapist at Champion PT and Performance, and owner of the FitnessPainFree.com website and certification.
Dan’s mission is to bridge the gap between physical therapy and fitness, and to bring this information to those around the world, and I really think you’re going to love the practical advice he shares in this episode!
I want them to have a little mindfulness about their pain, because if you’re just blowing through it, that’s not helpful and pain WILL win. – Dan Pope
