The Origins of Calvinism in the Early Church

There isn't as much evidence as we might like to discern if there was a consistent perspective on election in the post-apostolic age, at least not that I am aware of. You have occasional references here and there. But again, do we have any treatises or documents written by some of these early fathers that explicitly addressed the issue of election and the way Augustine did? I think the answer to that is no. We know that Augustine was not the first. It perhaps was in terms of how systematically he articulated it.
