There is an interesting idea i actually just had, as we're talking about this, in container images. In the in the o c i image form, at the forma that like registry speak. When you're down loading a container image ans on, you can attach some metter data to each layer in an image. This is what typically known in the docker world as the docker version. Ok, so talking about ipots and outputs and versions, it reminded me that ixery itself, there is no tags or relinses on the get up repository of nixery. Why is this? I found that very interesting. That's probably an artifect of me working at google

While the tooling is impressive, it’s the principles behind it that captivated Gerhard’s imagination. Vincent has a rather interesting take on the monorepository idea, including one change - one version - one deploy.
