I'm Learning Mandarin

CHAPTER

Learning Mandarin Tones Through Naturalistic Immersion

I basically went through conducted a long experiment on myself to see whether it was possible to just acquire tone Mandarin tones through immersion alone. everything you're saying could be directly applied to my experiences of Mandarin. Our brains just are not attuned to that aspect of the language in fact in fact deliberately ignore that because from an early age if our brains thought that tonal information was important can you imagine how weird we would sound when speaking English? I'm curious in your experience how much did you were you learning just through sound versus doing reading as well it was very interesting.
