Plutarch's Cleopatra
Plutarch portrays Cleopatra as being the opposite of Antony. While Antony goes into a melancholy kind of despair, she's all strength and strategy in putting her best face forward. It takes a whole year before he really gets to Alexandria. That would have been a terrible year for Antony and Cleopatra.
