Are We Going to Send Missionaries?
When david mckay is president of the church, he's exploring these possibilities. In fact, he's getting more letters from africa than the rest of the church combined. He sends missionaries to find out how things are and they're just blown away with a number of people that have deep, committed testimonies. Even when i see him pleading with god for a revelation, just like spencer w. Kimball would a decade later, that revelation didn't come. Was was the church not ready for it? Perhaps? Were there other reasons in god's mind? I don't know, and i can't.
