Technique Mistakes You Don't Want to Make When Bench Pressing

You know you have the right grip width when your forearms are perfectly perpendicular to the ground. Another technique mistake that can mess up your shoulders is flaring your elbows, raising your elbows towards your ears. You want them to be somewhere between 30 to 60 degrees relative to your torso. And by touching the bar a little bit lower on your chest, you reduce the amount of compressive force at the outer edge of the clavicle which forms part of the shoulder.
