I like Chris Lict as well and do think he's smart and ambitious, but it became clear pretty quickly that this was an organization that he did not have a handle on. The fact that Zazla just went to the guy he knew without looking at the full landscape is ultimately a blemish on Zazla. You know, they were never going to match the Trump ratings after Trump. And that was a problem. But I'd rather him take a risk and do something like that than bring out the like 76 year old guy who'd run CNN twice before.
