The Analogy With Meditation Is Not Legitimate
The idea that just doing a brain scan is like not legitimate because it is not a level where you come to evolve this? No, no, no. It's a question of what questions you ask and what methods you use for the questions. So the analogy with meditation is of course it stands to reason if somebody has practiced 40,000 hours of meditation and then three year retreats in a Tibetan Buddhist monastic context, their brain is probably going to look different from that of an inexperienced meditator. But the idea that that somehow validates what meditation is or gives us a deeper understanding into what meditation is isn't true.
