Changing the Face of FGM in Africa

I'm really excited about it's being part of the team that's leading the global movement on ending FGM right now. I think people have an assumption about Africa, which is a dark place but actually Kenya has one of the biggest feminist movement I've ever seen in my life. Around 300 new feminist societies have been set up at schools in the UK in just the last few years alone. We are seeing generation of young women who are ironically portrayed as these wilting snowflakes who are actually the most courageous, brave people I've ever met. Get involved Laura Bates has got a bunch of books that you can buy and certainly this latest one sounds absolutely incredible and like something we all need
