The invisible gorilla experiment replicates and replicates so well that TV producers, as you know, have done it. It's really a very lucky for us a very robust effect compared to some of the things in psychological science that don't seem to work as well or may have involved cases of researchers deceiving themselves into thinking they were finding a true, true phenomena that didn't really exist. The idea is that sort of attention is more required for perception than we might realize. Inattentional blindness could just be called attentional. You're just directing somebody's attention so focused on something. They don't say anything else.
