Is Open Source the Key to Cryptocurrency?

Energy consumption is not going to be a significant impediment to the growth of crypto currency. The impediment will be government. It will be regulation, just like the calixos and graphino. Open source solutions are extremely difficult to regulate and control. They don't like it because they operate outside of a financial system. That's the leverage that the government is always going to try to use against any rival,. And in the open source market, the motivation, obviously, people want to get paid for their time.
