James Cameron's Avatar is the biggest grossing film of all time. There was a big controversy which it's really hard to get to the bottom of what really happened, but a lot of the 3D showings of it in China were pulled from the cinemas. It still became the biggest box office hit of all time until the Avengers Endgame came along and overtook it.
