Developer Advocates

Developer advocates are on the same exact level, technical wise, if not more so, than people who code every single day. They should still be seen as equal to engineers or developers. The open source maintainer role requires you to have deep vertical knowledge of the product that you're working on but also good communication kills. It's a very rigorous job.
