The Disconnection Between Ordinary British People and Academics
There's been a huge change in the educational establishment since the 1960s. The generation of teachers who came in and started to dominate schools brought with them an agenda that was opposed to what Churchill stood for. And then, especially in the universities, where they seem to have a sort of lock on many of the British universities, most perhaps, to be in favour of Winston Churchill. So we have got to this extraordinary disconnect between ordinary British people who think that that's a disgusting and disgraceful remark to make and academia, where you can say it and no one will contradict you.
