The Impact of COVID on Bar Sales
The San Francisco Entertainment Commission surveyed bar owners to see how sales revenue has changed over the past three years. When you look at 2022 compared with 2021, 45% said their sales were up. So we can see that things have improved for these business owners since the pandemic restrictions first eased. But when you look at it compared to pre-COVID, it's really dismal. And some of the challenges facing bars are just things like staffing issues.
