One of my masters there in the monastery, sa me pasanandy, a very luminous mind with very well read in psychology, he said, why not psychology? Why not psychoanalysis and and the modern positive psychology? The point he made was, if you are taking medicine for your physical body, go to a doctor and take medicine. You can take help from a counsellor or a psychologist if you have mental issues. Isn't it vedanta itself, which says it's a physical body and a mental body. Gross body that is stula sharira, sukma sharira, subtle body. Then the second thing he said was sami basenandito.
